The coordination of structured workplace learning is funded by the State of New South Wales through the Department of Education and Communities under the Structured Workplace Learning Program.
Western Student Connections coordinates work placements for students enrolled in VET Curriculum Frameworks at all schools and TAFE campuses in the Bathurst, Bourke, Broken Hill, Dubbo, Lachlan, Orange, Wollemi and Warrumbungle areas (Service Regions 19, 20, 21 & 22).

Schools & TAFE schedule work placements on the WSC SWL Calendar in Term 4 for the next year

Form 1: VET / TVET Work Placement Schedule Request

Students register for SWL at the beginning of their Year 11 course

Schools & TAFE provide WSC with a placement request at least 6 weeks prior to the placements
